Boonton, NJ: (Dec 13th 2004) Saand.com, Inc. today announced the launch of www.saand.com, a search and booking engine for private villa rentals in the premier markets of the Caribbean, Latin America and Hawaii.

Speed and scalability are the keys to success, thought Saand.com founders Bret Sigillo and Nelson Couvertier, two long time Wall Street technologists, who decided to make tropical villa renting as easy as buying and selling stock.

"We saw how electronic trading revolutionized an entire industry, and we drew a parallel to what the online hotel and travel booking experience was like, matching buyers and sellers. When we then looked at the villa rental market all we saw were smaller regional players offering a limited service," says Bret Sigillo, who founded the company in November of last year. "That left an opportunity to give vacationers and villa owners what they have been asking for - a faster, better way to handle reservations and one that can do business round the clock using secure online payments."

The company's role in the process becomes the Stock Exchange's equivalent of "order matching". If someone wants to buy one hundred shares of IAC/InterActiveCorp (Nasdaq: IACI) at $24 you need someone who's willing to sell shares at that price. Sigillo adds, "The first step in matching an order is making sure that a buyer and seller find each other. Saand.com created a new method; one in which vacationers could find villas based on availability and property amenities rather than just price and location."

Saand.com set out to mimic the Big Board, by building an online marketplace that matches buyers and sellers and let's them complete the transaction. A powerful way to handle transactions with capacity for thousands of homes and millions of visitors all available from one global brand.

"I was a very dissatisfied villa owner and villa renter myself ," Sigillo says. "I couldn't understand why there weren't services that would help me rent my villa, and, as a vacationer who also rents other villas, I didn't understand why it was so hard to find and rent the villa of my choice. We set out to change that for everyone like me and for thousands of other villa owners and renters with the same issues."
